ROSIE SMITH HONOURED BY DÉJÀ VU MOTORSPORT

Rosemary Smith, the ‘First Lady of Irish Motorsport’, was presented with a specially commissioned canvas at the recent Déjà vu Ireland West event in Westport.

The 95 x 65 cm. graphic depicted the extraordinary length and depth of her competition career from her early days in rallying in Ireland to her test drive in a F1 Renault at the Paul Richard grand prix circuit in France.

During a power-point presentation of her rallying and racing achievements, Rosie regaled the dinner guests in her usual candid way with memories of her amazing times behind the wheel before the seven-time Circuit of Ireland Rally winner Jimmy McRae presented the Dublin lady with her montage.
