1993 started as 1992 had finished with the Subaru Legacy’s in supremacy. However Austin MacHale had other plans and his Toyota GT4 beat both Bertie Fisher and Kenny McKinstry in Galway and on the Circuit, then however he ran out of luck with a blow up in Killarney and a crash in Donegal. Fisher took his 4th. win in Kerry and his 3rd. in Donegal and when he followed Malcolm Wilson home on the Ulster Rally, it was enough to tie up the series.
